Singapore, February 26, 2024 – Attention to all Malaysian citizens and residents relying on consular services from the High Commission in Singapore! Beginning February 27, 2024, there will be a significant change in the services offered.
In an official announcement made today, the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore declared that consular services, encompassing a range of crucial tasks such as renunciation, birth and marriage registrations, document attestation, and more, will now be restricted to handling a maximum of 70 cases per day.
This change comes as a response to increasing demand and the need to ensure quality service delivery. The High Commission aims to manage the workload more effectively, guaranteeing better attention to each case.
For those planning to utilize these services, it’s vital to note that queue numbers will be issued at the guard house from 8:00 am onwards, subject to availability. Therefore, early arrival is encouraged to secure a spot in line.
The High Commission assures the public that despite the limitation, they remain committed to providing essential consular assistance efficiently.
Stay tuned for further updates regarding any developments or adjustments to this new system. For inquiries or additional information, please contact the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore directly.
